This policy explains how Velmio ("we" or "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use this website and studio. Velmio is responsible for that information. You can reach us through our Contact page.

Information you give us

• When you create an account: your email address, your password, and the plan you chose. Your password goes directly to our sign-in provider, Google Firebase, which stores it in protected form. We never see it, and it is not kept in our records. If you continue with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us.
• When you contact us: your name, email address, and message.
• When you use the chat assistant: the messages you write.

Your photos, logo, and scripts

The photos and logos you add in the studio stay on your device. They are processed in your browser to make your video, saved in your browser so you don't lose your project, and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

If you choose Generate Script with AI, your business or product name, video idea, closing message, chosen options, and script text pass through Google's servers to OpenAI, which writes the script. If you choose a studio voice and generate a voiceover, your script text passes through Google's servers to ElevenLabs, which creates the audio. The finished audio is saved in your browser. We use your account to confirm these requests and to apply usage limits, and we don't keep the text you send.

The chat assistant

The chat assistant is an AI. Your messages pass through Google's servers to Anthropic, which generates the replies. The conversation is kept in your browser until you close the tab, and we don't save it. If you ask the assistant to send a message to our team, we keep your name, email address, and that message with our other contact messages. Please don't share passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in the chat.

Information collected automatically

• The campaign details in the link you arrived from, such as the ad source and campaign name, and the page you first landed on.
• The language shown to you, which is chosen from your device's time zone inside your browser. Your time zone is not sent to us.
• Standard server logs kept by our website host, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.
• If you accept cookies, information about your device and how you use the site, collected by Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel.

Cookies and similar technologies

Your browser stores small items we need to run the site, such as your sign-in, your light or dark mode choice, your cookie choice, your current chat, your studio project, your finished videos and activity, and campaign details. Analytics and advertising tools load only after you accept them where consent is required. You can decline them in the cookie banner and change your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the footer. Declining doesn't affect your ability to use the site.

How we use your information

• To email you about your account, your plan, and new features
• To understand which marketing reaches interested business owners and to improve the site
• To prevent spam, duplicate entries, and misuse
• To meet legal obligations

We use your information to provide the service you asked for, with your consent where it is required, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.

Who we share it with

• Google stores sign-ups and contact messages in Google Sheets, runs account sign-in through Firebase Authentication, and provides sign-in with Google if you use it.
• Anthropic processes chat messages to generate the assistant's replies.
• OpenAI processes your video idea and script text if you use AI script writing.
• ElevenLabs processes your script text if you generate a studio voiceover.
• Our website host processes server logs.
• Google and Meta receive analytics and advertising data if you accept cookies.
• Payment providers handle your payment details if you buy a paid plan. We don't store full card numbers.
• Authorities or advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information. These providers may process information in other countries, under their own privacy policies and safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service and contact you. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the conversation. We delete information sooner if you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No website or online service can be completely secure.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, use our Contact page.

Children

This site is for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service changes. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do, and tell you directly about significant changes where we are able to.
